Join us to celebrate the new Rocks to Roots demonstration wildlife habitat and outdoor classroom in Austin!
The free event is on Thursday, May 16 at 5:30 p.m. at the Austin Independent School District Science and Health Resource Center (map) and will feature tours, artwork by Pleasant Hill Elementary students, and volunteer recognition. The event will also feature remarks by Dr. Pauline Dow, AISD Chief Academic Officer, and project leaders.
The Austin Independent School District demonstration wildlife habitat is nearing completion thanks to hard work from committed volunteers and NWF supporters like you.
The new wildlife habitat will be a place for Central Texas schools to learn how to effectively create a wildlife oasis on their campus that can also serve as an outdoor classroom. A fox and other wildlife have already been spotted roaming the new habitat!
Come for food, fun and wildlife sightings as you stroll the grounds of the demonstration habitat and outdoor classroom.
